Orb Colors and Their Meanings~

What Do the Colors of Orbs Mean?

Ghost orbs, spirit orbs, energy orbs, orbs of light... they are called by many names and often appear in photographs, on videos, and even floating across our living room before our very eyes. They seem to come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

Nowadays, the term “orb” is loosely used more so to refer to the phenomena itself rather than to describe the shape of the anomaly. While most orbs appear to be circular or spherical, they can and do change shape and size, especially orbs in motion.

Orbs can appear to be white, pink, purple, blue, green, etc., or even multi-colored. Also, it is common for orbs to display an aura. So, a white orb may have a blue aura, or a pink orb may have a red aura, and so forth. (It is less common to see grey or black orbs, although they certainly exist.)

As discovered with Kirlian photography, every living thing radiates an energy essence, and projects a colored aura. It has been said that a human aura reflects thoughts, emotions, personality, as well as the physical health, past traumas, and state of mind of the individual.

Assuming that the little floating spheres of colored light are conscious, sentient beings, could it be possible that orb colors (and their aura colors) also represent the entity’s personality, emotional state, intention, etc? Many experts believe so.

Orb Color Theory

Everything in the universe is composed of energy vibrating at its own rate or frequency. Sight is a visual interpretation of vibration. Each color on the visible light spectrum vibrates at a different rate or frequency. The individual vibration or frequency of each color incites a particular emotion, mood or state of being, and therefore can also represent a particular emotion, mood or state of being. The coordinating moods and meanings of colors were determined eons ago, and this established information is generally used as a basis for interpreting the meanings of the colors of orbs.

Meanings of Orb Colors

As previously mentioned, all living beings have auras of various colors that depict their personality, thoughts, emotions, state of mind, health, etc. The interpretation of the meanings of orb colors relates to orbs that are perceived as conscious, sentient beings. The following chart is a compilation of colored orb meanings as they may relate to an entity’s personality, emotional state, intention, level of development, etc. – as well as the general spiritual hierarchy. Please keep in mind that the chart was composed using various sources of information ranging from expert to novice researchers, and it is by no means an absolute and conclusive explanation of orbs and the meanings of orb colors.

Every Soul Generates a Specific Color Aura

The brilliant psychologist, master hypnotherapist and teacher, Dr. Michael Newton, has extensively researched and written about the mysteries of life between lives after physical death. His explorations of life in the spirit world are detailed in his remarkable book, Journey of Souls. Dr. Newton describes the soul, or spiritual energy, as a moving, living, electromagnetic force that generates a specific color aura. In the book, Journey of Souls, Dr. Newton states, “Apparently, a neutral white or gray [aura] is the starting point of development [beginner soul]. Spirit auras then mix the primary colors of red, yellow, and blue from a base of white [intermediate soul]. A few people see greenish hues mixed with yellow or blue.
