Post by Lunar on Sat Oct 08, 2016 12:29 pm

The natural witch needs to have many ingredients available in her pantry. For the newbie who is just learning how to become a witch, it can be overwhelming to know which items are most important.

Essential oils are one of the most important tools available to the witch. One concern many people have about essential oils is cost – essential oils are not cheap. However, the benefits provided can save you time and money in the future.

There are hundreds of varieties of essentials oils available in different strengths, grades, and sizes. We have compiled a list of the the most important oils for cooking. Here are the top 5 essential oils to have on hand for natural witch living.

1. Lemon Oil

Degreaser and Household Cleanser

Perfect for cleaning and degreasing, lemon oil also adds a fresh, energizing scent to your home. Also works great to degrime sticky hands, and degunk light switch plates. Drop 1-2 drops in dish water for extra dishwashing power.

2. Lavender

Soothing, Anti-Anxiety, and Calming

Lavender essential oil has been used to calm the nerves of anxious pets and people, and it is also a popular topical soothing treatment. Try combining lavender with peppermint for a magical herb-infused lip balm. Lavender is so gentle, and soothing that it works great for babies and children.

3. Tea Tree Oil

Natural Sanitizer

If you are about to become a witch, your pantry is not complete without tea tree oil. Tea Tree oil works as a natural germ destroyer. Use it for protection of your home from dark spirits and germs. Many people use it as a topical antiobiotic ointment to ward away infection.

4. Eucalyptus Oil

Prosperity, Cleansing, Respiratory

A favorite here at Witches Rainbow, Eucalyptus essential oil is antimicrobial and a great ingredient for prosperity spells. Before mopping, drop 2- drops in your mop bucket to encourage abundance and ward away darkness. Spray children’s toys and play equipment down with eucalyptus oil to kill germs. It is also a great boost to help with the common cold as it works as an expectorant.

5. Peppermint Oil

Antibactial, Cooling, and Anti-Inflammatory

If you are a witch that gets sick often, make sure to have peppermint essential oil on hand. Peppermint oil is antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory. It also soothes achy joints and muscles, and refreshes hot skin.
