WHAT IS CLAIRVOYANCE?

Clairvoyance means “clear vision” or “clear seeing.” People with this gift have the ability to connect with Spirit through sight. They may actually visually view something with their physical eyes, such as colors, spirits or energy fields. More commonly they will “see” something in their mind’s eye. It could be a symbol, color or picture.

Contrary to what we see in the movies and on TV, clairvoyants don’t really get a full-fledged color film in front of their eyes when using their gifts. Nor is it necessarily a matter of getting a preview of the future. Clairvoyance is basically receiving images. The key is interpreting these signs in order to understand what they represent.

DEVELOPING YOUR ABILITIES

The key to developing your clairvoyant abilities is to work on your third eye chakra. This is the area of responsible for clairvoyance. The third eye chakra is located approximately between the center of your eyebrows. It is a vortex of spiritual energy and physically it relates to the pineal gland as well as the eyes.

There are many ways to develop this area. One of the best ways is to focus on any activity that requires visualization and imagination. Another option is to work with your physical vision. You can also work with crystals to enhance this area.

VISUALIZATION AND IMAGINATION EXERCISE

An example of a visualization and imagination exercise is called “building a rainbow.” In your mind’s eye, picture a lovely field of green grass where the sun is starting to shine after a rainstorm. See the clouds separating and making room for a rainbow to appear.

Rather than see the rainbow all at once you will build it one color at a time. First see the red start to peek out from the clouds and extend down from the sky to the grassy field. As it descends, see the color getting brighter. Now do the same with the remaining colors of the rainbow: orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Place them all in the appropriate order until your rainbow is complete.

You can add variations to this exercise as well. See your rainbow dance, move or change direction. View it over an ocean or under the water. Let it circle the globe into outer space! Have some fun with it.

PHYSICAL VISION EXERCISES

Using your regular vision can help enhance your clairvoyance. Learning to see things in a different way can physically stimulate your brain, causing the energy to change. This can help your mind’s eye.

Some exercises you can use are seek and find picture puzzles. These are often available in books for children. While meant to be a game, they can actually enhance your visualization skills.
Another option is to use any of the Magic Eye 3D books by Magic Eye Inc. These were popular in the 90’s for fun and amusement, but they can help you develop your vision. Working with these books can help train your eyes to see energy fields.

Exercise With Crystals
Finally you can enhance your third eye and clairvoyance by working with crystals. Lapis lazuli is a wonderful crystal to work with. Other blue or indigo colored stones like sapphire or blue topaz will work well too.

Lie down, close your eyes and place the stone over your third eye chakra. You can just relax and see what comes up for you. Or you can combine this with your visualization exercises for an added boost.
